Engineering plans: this process takes about 3 to 4 weeks to complete depending on project size once completed plans need to be reviewed by owner and approved. Once completed, plans are given to your local municipality for review.
Permits: this process varies from 10 business days to (1) one year depending on your local municipality, after this process is completed, excavations follow.
811 utilities locator: this process usually takes about a week, for this process the owner needs to provide access to the backyard to avoid delays. Once approval from 811 excavation will start.
Excavation day: this process takes about 2-3 days for completion based on 7ft access to property. Material will be left at site for backfill, this is the time to start counting your 90-120 days for completion. (This is time for your 2 nd payment)
Pool form and rebar: this process usually takes place 2 business days after excavation upon arrival of delivered material rebar crew will create the shape of your new pool in 2 days.
Pool pre-plumbing: this process consists of adding all the plumbing inside concrete before shotcrete ex: Spa therapy jets, bubblers, and all necessary pipes.
Electrical bonding: pool bonding protection
Inspection time: depending on your municipality there can be from 3 to 10 inspections that need to be approved before shotcrete, some municipality may need Foundation survey with new pool this may take up to 10 days to obtain so be patient.
Shotcrete: after all inspections are approved this is when concrete is done you will start seeing the shape of your new pool this process usually takes only a day. (this is time for your 3rd payment)
Wood form removal: after concrete is done rebar crew will come back and remove all wood surrounding pool to get ready for backfill. 1 or 2 days after shotcrete
.Backfilling: This process requires heavy machinery like the one that excavated your pool, consist of filling all around pool shell with material left by excavators, from pool to backfill will be 12 to 18 inches that created a Page 4 of 9 bedding for new pool plumbing, at this point pool will be filed with water about 3ft to provide counterweight on pool and also to help compaction of surrounding material. Dirt will be left on your property for 2nd backfill no worries, all leftover after 2nd will be removed from your property.
By this time, you should start picking material finished as coping and waterline tile.
Plumbing: all plumbing for the pool will be installed surrounding the pool and directed to where the pool equipment will be located.
Lights Pvc conduit installation: these are the pipes where the pool light cables will run. Remember all lights are low voltage and do not pose a hazard to you or your loved ones.
Inspection: Plumbing and electrical inspection
Second backfill: as first backfill heavy machinery will be used to fill to pool level and remainder material will be dumped.
Pool 360 bonding: electrician will run a copper cable around the pool for pool bonding
Electrical inspection
Coping and tile: now it will start getting into shape, pool coping, and waterline tile takes 2 days to complete. (time for your 4th payment)
Pool cleaning and prep: clean and remove dirt from pool for diamond Brite.
Decking: if you contracted the deck with us, it’s time to install your new floor. This process takes 2 to 4 days to complete depending on square footage. Remember that Travertine installation is over sand, and lipping is normal in this type of installation (you can google it as travertine over sand lippage) if you rather want a perfect installation inquire with the project manager about your options. Also remember that Florida Vibes Pools and patio is only installing your travertine flooring and is not responsible as how the material comes from the factory, if you have any issues related to travertine, please contact your distributor.
Pool equipment and electrical equipment installation: all necessary pumps, filters, waterfalls, lights, and electrical components needed for your pool to run efficiently.
Pool plaster: Finally, the time has come this is what everybody knows as diamond Brite but remember this is just one of brand we carry for pool finish as diamond Brite is not the process, the process is call pool aggregate finish or pool plaster, also we encourage the use of premix marbletite or Florida stucco as they are having higher quality products as Diamond Brite. But always your choice (time for 5th payment)
Final inspections: before we proceed with this process, we ask for final payment to close permits, remember the 5ft perimeter of the property needs to be free of decking and finish either with landscaping (owner responsibility) of if you hire us to do artificial turf we should have done this by now.
